Back story: As a young Nereid, the Lotus wanders the oceans and keeps a small business tied with a Human, seeing this as the best choice to "make a living". Although he had interests in joining the ranks of the great king, his pride was the cause of his major set back. It doesn't help him develop into a better Nereid and it most certainly gave him way to...cheat his way into his customer's pockets, eventually using his scales' luster and his soothing voice as keys of persuasion. This works especially on the ladies who easily give in to him and his temptation inducing body.
