Description
Early Aviation-------------------
Aviation prior to the creation of the Cavea Sveltis
technology was far more primitive, the initial aircrafts
mostly consisted of gliders, and following suit would
be the creation of airships [blimps] and hot air balloons,
as well as the use of steam-powered airships, with coal.
Due to the pollution caused by these new airships, it would
bring about new modeled airships with the Cavea Sveltis
technology, as well as some models being refurbished with
the new technology [refer to the "blimp" on airship concept II].
Modern Aviation
-------------------
Modern aviation using the Cavea Sveltis technology is
much more cleaner and [supposedly] "healthier" for the
environment. Refurbished airships using the older method
prior to the Cavea Sveltis consist mostly of Blimps
remodeled with CS Engines [refer to Cavea Sveltis concept].
Blimps manage to stay afloat provided with the lift produced
by the Essence. Hot Air Balloons though more rare now, vary
between refurbished Cavea Sveltis models, and older models, as
the older models weren't that much of a polluter.
Recent models designed after the creation of the Cavea Sveltis
are much more aerodynamic compared to previous models, and aid
in providing speed. The mid-speed model [refer to Airship
Concept I, Orange Airship lower Right Corner] is much more common
and more casually used. The faster models [refer to Airship Concept
I, Green Airship on left] is much swifter and is far superior to the
the orange airship, however, these models are more common in racing
and are much more reckless to use [mainly in turning].
Other models of Airships, involve helicopter like features, yet,
are not as common as other models [though are still common]. Merchant
Vessels are more usually similar to that of the orange airship, [a merchant
vessel is viewable in the top of Airship Concept II]. These are much larger
ships, and are comparable to the size of old wooden frigate ships. These
vessels are faster than their smaller counterparts in some cases, and
much slower than the faster green airship.
The modern CS airships work mostly by powering an engine adjacent to the
Sveltis Cage [refer to Cavea Sveltis Concept], the mana being the supplying power source.
The engine will then work normally, powering pistons, pulleys, etc, depending on
what part of it is focusing on. In these airships, the common asthetic trait
shown [at least in these concepts] is the revealed flywheel, which is the source
of motion for the airship. The giant flywheel shown extending out of the airship powers
the rotors on the stern, the speed of the flywheel helps determine the speed of the airship.
[For example, a slower moving stern in the case of the blimp provides enough power, but moves
the vessel at a slow speed, compared to the fast airship whos flywheel spins much faster.
Other major details of the mechanics not really necessary to be known, if your character
gets their own personal airship, it doesn't have to follow my designs one hundred percent,
but remain within the basic concept at least.
