Getting the hands and shading on the body right proved a lot greater challenge. It's just a bit washed out from the photo though.

Thank you so much! I invented my own technique for painting stars/galaxies ( I'll keep it ambiguous...better for the concept without scale). It involves layers of paint that are then blotted with sponge/fingers/palms for variations in texture. I basically do a white splatter paint with a stiff brush adding more or less water ( since it's acrylic...I'd pull my hair out with oil paints) to vary the appearance of depth. Then I just go in and add little dots to accent of fill in any blank areas and create patterns. It sounds complicated but it's actually fairly simple and doesn't take very long.

Love it! Great concept, and love the galaxy/stars. They're surprisingly hard to paint (from personal experience)
