♥ Oreana's Armor

Edited 4/3/23: I had to fix it. I had to. lol I was inspired by other's reference sheet and the one prior reminded me too much of somebody else's.

I didn't mean to do the Disney faces, but it happened anyways. xD Just ran with it.

I love this one SO much more. It's a bit more unique and away from the other style and past I wanted to leave behind. ♥ I did do a base of Oreana, so drawing over her should be easier in the future. Don't know why I didn't do it before. 😅 Either way, I don't plan on doing expression sheets with every character. But at least I have a layout to use if I need/ want to. Ignatius' ref and Oreana's armor ref will remain the way they are for now.

Too lazy to change them at the moment. But moving forward, I'd love to do things like this! ♥

As a side note: she doesn't wear any shoes and the flowers can be any color and in any position anybody wants (myself included) when they draw her. It's just to generally show how that floral pattern kinda looks. c:

Magical Abilities: She mostly uses arcane or wind magics. When she was trapped at the brothel, she was given different spells to lure in and keep customers.

Reverse Time: A minor healing spell that can drain her rapidly if used for longer than a span of an hour, as she's not well versed in time 'travel' type spells. It can reverse the body back to how it was prior to the injury, but if the injury is too deep, it won't work and the body won't respond.

Goddess’ Grace: A massive healing spell, healing 50% of damage done. Has a 5% chance to tick a minor healing over time effect.

Time Step: Oreana can teleport a few feet ahead as a means for fast traveling, but she much prefers her horse or astral forms of travel. She only uses this during emergencies.

Arcane Blast: A powerful arcane blast that can strike one foe at a time.

Arcane Barrage: A magical energy that spits out arcane blasts from the major circles of her spell. (Hits whatever enemies are in the circle that’ll glow beneath or around them).

Orbital Nova: An orb of arcane energy that she uses as she sees fit. She can summon 3 at a time, causing them to orbit her body whenever not in use.

Wind Barrier: A simple shield to protect her from most tier 8 and below attacks.

Zephyr Aegis: Casts a barrier upon nearby party members. When the barrier is broken after too much damage is exerted upon it, a powerful gust of wind will burst out and blow the enemy back or at least causing substantial nature damage if the target is susceptible to it.

Wind Slash: A powerful wind attack used by either enchanting her weapon of choice to blow back enemies and causing nature damage, or used when bringing her two arms back and then together to burst the magic forward.

Brothel specific abilities:

Charm: Oreana can use a charm spell to seduce unwilling people who have found themselves trapped in the brothel's dimension. Has a lasting effect, but once it breaks, the being usually wakes up from the dream if their spirit form has ventured in and not their physical.

Entanglement of the Vicious: Using the roots of the Devil's Tree, she can summon them to encase anybody and keep them bound.

Dance of the Corrupted: While dancing, she can summon low level demons to do her bidding and to ensnare the souls of those who are weaker than her. This helps her gauge how powerful a being is and what should be done to manipulate them into submission. If the being is above her power, the demons will not venture forth and a chill will run down her spine as a warning. If the person is very weak, they will die instantly and she will capture their soul.

Drain Essence: Whenever she beds someone, she is asked to slowly drain their lifeforce to aid in powering the brothel she resides in. This ability was given to her and can slowly turn her into a succubus herself if she is not careful.

Obedience Collar - A collar that glows with magical runes that shut down her ability to have children and restrain her ability to use magic. If she ever uses magic, the collar will strike her, and turn her powers against her. If she dares to take it off, it will knock her out cold till a succubus can get to her to put it back in place.

Journal- A man from a world she knew not of became a patron that was assigned to her. As their time together grew, Oreana lacked the conviction to drain or kill him as he was the only man to show her what true love and affection was in every way. In his world, it was said if you wrote in a journal, the words and worlds would become real. As an attempt at solace till he could free her, he made one himself to give to her; only to be slain shortly after when he attempted to enact his plan. Even if the pages are now full, she has never discarded it.

Homeland: Her homeland is actually a mixture of Demi-human and Humanoid characters. While her island is Egyptian motif, the other islands about her home nearby have different stylization (Eastern/ Arabic/ Victorian). This is why names can change about the islands so easily, even with the islands not being that far from one another. They are all protectors of dream worlds and dimensions that spawn from dreams.

History in the brothel: When she was only a teenager, Oreana was constantly hunted by the brothel owned by incubus and succubus demons no thanks in kind to her own succubus tormentor, Irie, who told them of where and who she was. Sadly, she was only able to escape for so long till her capture when she was in her early twenties. Because of her phoenix wings being outside of her body at the time, the succubus demons mistook her for a unique angel and would constantly parade her to patrons as such. This caused a high amount of uncomfortable worship and damnation to any and all who either wanted to be worthy of redemption or hated angelic beings on impulse and merely wanted to abuse her. Being agnostic, it made many nights very unsettling when people would treat her like a holy being as she was no messenger of the gods in her eyes. In time, she was able to control when her wings were visible, much to the dismay of the owners of the brothel.

Oreana became rebellious and outspoken, regardless of how the succubi/incubi would attack her when she wouldn't comply to allowing her wings to come out at times. They threatened to breed her if she wouldn't, causing Oreana to comply.

Sometime later, she encountered a man from a world she only was told stories of, and he offered her a type of kindness and love she had never felt before. The two fell in love, and he swore to free her. He created the journal for her as a means to get away from the hell she was trapped in till then, but sometime later, he was killed when the owners realized what was going on between the two. She has kept his gifts with her ever since and mourns his passing nearly every night.

Ever since that moment, Oreana became jaded and emotionless; often manipulating even kindhearted beings as she didn't want to endure sorrow like that again. It took a stranger from another world to come into the brothel and slowly win her heart before it was too late as she was nearly turning into a succubus herself.

Notes:

♥ Because of all the red in the brothel and even painted on her skin, Oreana has come to loath and fear the color red.

♥ She doesn't exactly decline the idea of having children for the obvious in terms of atmosphere in where they'd be raised, but because the idea of even being a mother scares and disinterests her.

♥ The collar will only allow her to use her succubus/brothel related spells and abilities. Anything else will result in her being attacked by the collar.

♥ Being trapped in the brothel, Oreana's aging was halted. She has bags under her eyes not because of age but because of restless nights where she'd project her soul into other peoples' dreams in hopes for safety or to find help as she is called a Dreamwalker--a protector and guardian of dreams.

♥ The journal given to her by the patron was said to be a way to soothe her and give her a means to escape in an almost literal sense. In his world, certain book crafters could make enchanted pages of books where you could teleport yourself into the world(s) made in the pages. Oreana could only blame the brothel's magic restricting field for not allowing it to work. (Kudos if you get what this is referencing).

♥ Because of her using the succubus abilities and trying to become as heartless as the demons who had her, Oreana is 20% succubus when she manages to escape the brothel. Due to this, she still has a small urge to drain the life from others. She can still very much use 'Drain Essence', but it is prohibited that she keeps doing this or she could end up completely a succubus.

♥ Due to the brothel being strict on who looked as what (chubby, thin, pear-shaped, ect), Oreana was constantly ridiculed or punished if she didn't eat meager servings to keep her weight down. When she wouldn't listen out of contempt, she was served small meals every day if she performed appropriately. If she didn't, she was starved. When she left the brothel and managed to slowly eat again, she gained a pear shaped figure. She has also become a bit hung up on her appearances because of her years spent in the brothel, feeling she always has to look perfect.

♥ While Oreana's sexuality is demisexual, she prefers women over men as the majority of the male patrons she received were often vile to her. She is still always willing to give men a chance, but she is very skittish of them.
