Description
Spongilla lacustris20 meters under theLac du Bourgetorganicvision.deviantart.com/g…
I am a diving instructor in this lake.
Taken with my Gopro this morning.
The zebra mussel (Dreissena polymorpha) is a small freshwater mussel. The species was originally native to the lakes of southern Russia and Ukraine, but has been accidentally introduced to numerous other areas and has become an invasive species in many countries worldwide.

In France it's a bit more accessible. Our federation is based on volunteerism and I am a volunteer instructor in my club. Over the years I have acquired my own equipment and I dive about twice a week all year long.

They prefer vertical cliffs around 20 meters depth. This site has the best specimens I've seen . Most people don't see them. They are not especially rare.
