One of the 44 Monster Beasts, chosen for no particular reason, except the fact that their names can be written with a single kanji whenever possible.

Oh, this one, is probably my favourite so far. It's based on the legend of the Sazaeoni (Turban Shell Demon) and the Oogai (Ogreshell) from Toriko. The base concept was a Turban Shell (and the research for pictures alone put me in the mood for a massive shellfish BBQ meal). While the mussel itself had a vaguely-humanoid design (with the antlers and the mouth feelers inspired from Inu Yasha), the conch itself had to be ridicolously overloaded with details, ornaments, spikes, and stuff like that. In this case, the fire wisp form a Hagoromo around the mussel's body (It's not wearing clothes, think of its soft, blob-like flesh covering its coral-like skeleton). This monstrous shellfish drags divers and fishermen to their watery doom, each killing increasing the size of its shell. I really love this one!
