It's pretty commplicated, you can find a few tutorials on how to make a planet here on dA though. Just search "planet tutorial," good luck

Idea is very nice, but your stars would have needed more work, less blur more diversity (colors, sizes, form), the planet is no good you can see stars throug it, try ereasing them it would be a lot better, your ring too needs more work and the general 'space' part is to 'monotone' put in some diversity and it would be a lot better, your integration of the land and space is to be reworked too, though this idea, as i said, is very good and the landscape you choosed is gorgeous.
