A little something based off the first poster for this show that I luckily finished before tomorrow. The Owl House means… SO much to me it’s unbelievable that it’s ending. When I was a kid I didn’t get to have things like this, where I saw myself wholly and fully without being the butt of the joke; the closest I got was gravity falls but even then it didn’t quite *hit* as much as this show does, where I, an autistic, biracial, bisexual man, can watch a heavily coded, fellow biracial, bisexual, live the life I had dreamed of for the longest time; where she can make friends I couldn’t make when I was her age, where she is so wholly and fully proud of her oddity where I was ashamed. Where, in a world so full of hate I could escape into a world so interesting and accepting that it made me cry. This show is and forever will be a monument to my growth, where I can look back and say that I don’t have to dream about living the live that Luz Noceda has, because I am now (minus the magical other world unfortunately). The Owl House is a show about acceptance, of the self and others; thank you Dana Terrance, without you and this show, I never would have known what that feels like, thank you.
