Inspired to do this last week, favourite Samus Aran Suit and favourite Samus Aran Beam.I do like the Light Suit from Metroid Prime 2, but the decision seems unanimous that the Phazon Suit colors are rockin'.
To be a nerd on details, technically the design of the suit in my painting is a recolor of the Metroid Prime 2 design, as opposed to MP1 where this suit actually appeared. I did this simply because I liked the upgraded design better. To be honest the changes are minute.
I like how they changed the suit shape and not just colors in MP2 and MP3 (granted I don't particularly like the Dark Suit or PED Suit) so sometime I might try and explore some design changes that might work well with the Phazon suit colors/concept.

personaly i think that this is awesome! while due to the fact i'm a idiot and typically only think of pairing the phazon suit with the phazon beam, since it's like every beam turned on at once with full auto cheats, the plasma beam still suit the suit well!

I really love how the reds and oranges on Samus' suit contrast with the phazon surrounding her. I especially love all the detailing you did on all of the phazon strains; that must've been a pain to do. And the shading on Samus is terrific (especially that sheen on her breastplate, reflecting the glow of the phazon).
Really nice job here! Makes me want to go back and play Metroid Prime all over again.

I just want to say though, the reason why in the first Prime game that the suit changes colours and not shapes, is because that is basically what happened with all suit upgrades in the Metroid games prior to the other Prime games. When the Normal suit upgrades into the Varia suit, it gets builkier and the colours change, but Varia to Gravity was a cosmetic change. Since in Prime we start with the Normal Suit, then later aquire Varia and then Gravity, it was only logical that the Phazon suit would not change shape. This can also be seen in Fusion, where the Basic Fusiom, Fusion Varia, and Fusion Gravity suits are only different from eachother appearence wise are their colour schemes. The Prime games have been the only so far to change this tradition (whether or not MOM does remains to be seen).
