May be my last entry to the "Original Quote" contest. Another metaphorical saying that makes since to me.The thought of this one is based on some of the ideas from physics and the origin of the universe. Some talk about time as existing before the big bang. And if the universe is to continue to expand in the future, it will continue for another 100 billion years. Even if the idea of black hole evaporation is correct the largest ones will continue to exist for some several trillion years. So in the grand scheme of things, the few years of our own existence is so little as not to be noticed at all.
Makes you feel good doesn't it?

Well, technically:
We are, just as everything else in existence, made up of atoms. Thus, we are constantly moving, always in motion. Never in one place. Therefore, we are not actually here, just more likely to be here than not to be here...

Hmmm.. very nice and unique quote. Didn't hear anything like it around in this competition. But I like how you got the theme to deal with time - really time does seem to pass by within seconds. But what really sucks about it is how the most enjoyable times tend to pass by within seconds, whereas the most boring times (like school) tend to pass by within freakin AGES.
