MYO entry for the Browbird Contest

Name: Fix

Magic: Metal / Fire (Uncommon/Common)
Crest: World - has a ring around it, like Saturn (Rare)
Horns: Double (Uncommon)
Tail: Whip (Uncommon)
Ears: Poofy (Droop)
Eyes: Reversed - while bright, they do not glow (Common)

Abilities/Skills:
*Computing/Mechanic Genius - Fix is a genius and especially gifted with technology and mechanics. She started hacking into spacestations and building machines as she learned to walk. Very early on created her robot friend which later turns into her AI familiar.
*Accidental Familiar - When Fix came into her second power, Fire, it turned her metal working into an advanced forging ability too. When she was trying to upgrade her robot companion, she accidentally melted it down into a molten, goo type shape. Thankfully only it's outer shell melted, and the processor remained unharmed! Her AI familiar can now float around in it's lava slime type body, contorting and extending itself. It remains cool to touch, but can heat up at will. Loves to eat metal chunks. Tries to eat Zev's (Zev'zasha MYO Browbird: Updated ) extra crystals when she's not paying attention.
*Metal Sense - Fix is especially attuned with metal and she is like a metal/mineral dowsing rod. She will often direct them to metal deposits (ruined spaceships and asteroids etc) and will then mine or collect them for resale or for her own needs.
*Firing my FIREEEEE!!! - A giant blast of hot fire to melt even the toughest metals. Fix gets a bit carried away when she uses her metal+fire magic.
*Machine Speak - With her metal magic and natural technology genius, Fix is able to 'speak' directly to programs like her AI or ship computers through touch and metal headsets. Depending on the sophistication of the program 'speaking' is sometimes actual sentences, but it can also be general ideas or vague notions.

Inventory:
*Grandpa's Collapsible Fishing Rod - Fishing was the one thing that could get Fix to sit still. When she left to adventure, her grandpa gave her his favorite fishing rod that they build together- full of neat functionality and collapsible for easy transportation!
*Tools & Spare Parts - Fix has bags, backpacks, pockets, and such full of her favorite tools, gadgets, gizmos, and spare parts. She is a bit like a kleptomaniac in that any time she sees a spare part or something she 'can use better' or a machine with too many 'extra' parts, she'll take it and add it to her horde for her own invention making.
*T.C.U. aka Tail Computer Unit - a handheld (in this case tailheld) personal computer unit. A go to tool for Fix whether she wants to hack into someone's security system, look at a map of the local star system, or check out schematics of her next invention.
*Bad-Ass Mode (Illusion Crystal) - A crystal spelled by Zevee to change Fix's colors. Normally Fix likes her bright colors, but sometimes she wants to tone it down a little and it makes her feel like a badass!
*Power Toolset - A giant wrench-like invention that helps Fix with many of her ship-sized tool needs as well as smaller tools like a jet-powered hammer+drill combo.

Glimpse into her story (writing, in progress): Fix's StoryFix is from the planet Amarraige, which is a largely water based with a scattering of islands across the oceans. Their home was a stilted city, Grevink, that looked like a spider web over the ocean, and splintering off the side of one of the small island continents. While Fix's parents are both still living, they are both genius types who are 100% invested into their studies. When they met it was the first time either of them cared about anything more than their research and they fell in love and started a family, but one day a massive argument (really a misunderstanding), sent them both mentally back into their work. In their dedication, they all but forgot poor Fix. Thankfully her grandpa lived with them, and while he couldn't get the two to reconcile (...yet) he took little Fix into his keeping to raise.
Fix learned to do everything younger, and faster than everyone else. Like her parents, Fix is also a genius, although she is especially talented in technology and mechanics. H

TL: DR of story;

Fix is a mechanical and technological genius who was raised by her Grandpa. Eventually she left her home planet and joined up with a crew harvesting minerals from asteroids. After she earned some money and learned what she could, she took her next job as an engineer building a spacestation. It is on this spacestation that she meets fellow Browbird, Zev, and their story starts together. Fix is the inventor and pilot of the Space Train and usually the comic relief of the story.

-Will meet and become companion of

The Space Train is a train that flies through space, powered by Fix's own genius inventions and Zev's crystals. Each of them have their own 'car' on the train and they have other cars for all sorts of things from basic necessities like a kitchen+dining car to a library car to guest cars. Noteriety of the Space Train will grow throughout their story and will turn into a traveling Inn at times. Zev will use her illusions to help embellish other character's cars and hide the Space Train when necessary. When in need of funds they will often port and work in space stations or on planets long enough to build up some more capital. They'll often buy things at one spaceport to resell at another. They will also scavenge and with Fix's Fire+Metal magic they can melt down a lot of great resources! Very rarely they will even turn the train into a one night party by exclusive invite only which will bring in money, but has it own risks!
