Description
Just trying something a bit more complex and challenging X3 This took like 4 days :/ and with how it turned out I'm very proud of it X3 I wanted to draw something related to Arctic's ancestors and ruins. The winged person in the middle was the original "White" and I gave her a more angelic appearance to blend with her ancient origins. I also tried to give a slight glow to her to add to her. XD the sky took me like 5 hours alone given how I placed the stars, I wonder what constellations they have in that world. Must be rather different X3ΒThis lost civilization founded by the Coloroid White was heavily inspired by the Greek and Roman architecture and were strongly connected to the stars, often trying to find signs from the celestial bodies. They believed that each Planet was home to a god or goddess and had direct and indirect influences on their world, though they did prosper in technological advancements before vanishing. Descendants of this ancient civilization still follow the stars and are difficult to pick out from any person.
On a side note, the light washed out some of the darker and smaller details in the picture

I was too, I'm sure you'll figure out how to draw backgrounds. First I guess is to start simple to draw around the characters and such, if you want to try so scenery as a background then you could try drawing landscapes first. It can help to give ideas for drawing such X3

I can't draw landscapes but I'll try >~<
Thanks, thats really helpful.
I wanted to draw a place where Neko lives (it's in a forest) and I don't know if i can do this ;-;
I'll try to use some different tools in Paint tool SAI

The best one can do is to just practice, even if they suck. I always thought I was terrible at backgrounds or certain kinds of scenery like the one in this pic. I think early attempts will suck, I know mine did, so don't feel too bad if you can't get what you want the first few times ^^
No problem I'm glad it's helpful. But hey, if you want to draw a forest scenery then search Google for forest photography. There's no shame in using a reference for your art and the picture doesn't have to look identical to the reference. You can add some fun touches and such X3
I wish you luck on figuring out what works best for you :3 I have no clue how to use SAI but I'm sure you'll find something that works best X3

thank you X3 I'm so happy with how this came out :3 definitely took me long enough to work on. XD stars are quite difficult in traditional drawing XD oh boy

You're welcome! Traditionally doing stars is way too hard, I don't know how people do it XD

takes a lot of patience and coordination. And not getting frustrated when you accidentally color over one star 0-0 other wise geez, making it look good by just moving in one direction is a pain ;^;

I know, right? People who paint stars probably have it much easier than those who try to draw them with colored pencil...

Awesome! I really enjoyed reading the lore to.
I'm sure you'll come up with a name for the angel soon.
For me it usually takes weeks to come up with the perfect name of my
characters.
