I can tell you what he thinks...
Out in the field, he thinks of nothing but his duty...his training, his battle drills, his awareness, every rustle of the leaves, the wind, the temperature, his gear, the civilians surrounding him on patrols--thousands of factors and suspicions that all fire in his brain at once for the simple task of completing his mission--and it comes naturally. He is always watching--watching for a reason to pull his trigger and end the life of those that would threaten him, his comrades, or innocent civilians. By nature, he is beatific and relentless. Disdains at the red tape, the rules of engagement and the limitations that inhibit him from doing his job, and cause those that he cares about to get hurt.
By these lessons of war, he is unforgiving of mistakes, of stupidity, or the lack of common sense. It's his learned survival mechanism. A distracted soldier is a dead soldier--you pay for mistakes in blood. Reasons that soldiers fight are countless...some fight to spill the blood of any enemy that they are set upon, some are caring souls who desire to protect.
This is what a soldier thinks...how do I know?

Beautiful concept and execution! The symbolism in this really speaks for itself, and can mean so many different things to different people.
The armor's design, the random blood spatters...i can't look away! @__@ All the little details keep pulling me back to look for more that i might have missed.
