Well, there isn't actualy any classic composition rule in portraiture. If you shoot someone's face directly, you might actualy want to center it but it's not a rule. Rather a personal preference. The only "classic" rule I can think of in portrait photography is to leave space in the frame for the glance when you shoot a three quarters portrail or a profile. And even this rule bares some exceptions depending on the artistic idea behind the image. About center being the core of attraction, this is a false idea. It's even the contrary in general photography. There are two classical composition rules: the rule of thirds and the magical number which are both contrary to centering the subject. You can find a lot on this subject in online tutorials. This is why I usualy avoid centering my subjects.

I converted it to b&w via lab and brightened up the midtones a bit. some USM and I took out the distracting stuff in the lower right corner.

En effet, il a une aura assez incroyable. Le plus troublant est qu'il avait un frere jumeau a quelques metres de lui et que j'ai aussi une photo de l'autre (mais moins bonne...). En tous cas, merci pour la considération que tu me portes a travers tes commentaires, favs et ton watch !
