Commission Work: Ari-Bun

This is a completed commission piece for and her characters.

Here's a full breakdown on her story + cast so you can get to know them a little better!

The plot is based around Hiroshi, a shy boy who has recently lost his mother, and since their relationship was very vague he never felt he had his mother's love. A week after her passing, he gains a note that says he has been invited to a "battle". Without realizing what it means, he's transported into this realm that those who live there call Purgatory.
Purgatory was created by souls who can not pass on as they are not at peace with their deaths. It was a beautiful place where souls like them could rest until they could pass on, however since the creators were not gods their sins and flaws were transferred into demons that ravaged the land.

So now Purgatory is a cruel place and the only absolute thing in the realm is something called the battle, which teams of four go against others to the death. If you win, you get to gain "Scythe" - a being who will grant a single wish. But no one has seen Scythe before and no one really knows if it's real. Hiroshi goes into the battle to gain his mother back, but being a human with demon friends and enemies isn't exactly easy.

The character personalities are as follow:

Ichiru: A high wealth prince who is a womanizer and often very spoiled. However this stereotype is only a mask, as he was forced to learn how to fight to go into the Battle to give his father (the highest council member/king) the wish. His mother was killed by his hands and he's actually very lonely. His favorite thing is to annoy tsundere Ruka to death and it is hinted that they have a romantic relationship growing but never fully explored.

Ruka: A tsundere demon who was born with a twin. They were born from a single soul who was so strong that he split in two and become twins. Since she is the hot head side of the soul, her brother was the calm side. When he died, she become "uneven" and thus is somewhat hard to control. She starts fights quickly, hates the fact that she is small, and is very protective. She's also a patriot (which Ichiru despises) and a feminist. Thus the two go off a lot.

Hiroshi: Hiroshi is a shy boy which isn't very unusual and is someone who seeps into the background. His father had left him when he was young and his mother was a drunk (but Hiroshi never realizes this). He's very innocent, very sensitive, and has extremely low self-esteem. But he learns to find his bravery and strength through the story and turns into someone he has always looked up to.

Shiro: An interesting demon that is actually bred and is treated more as animal rather than a human being. Bred specifically for the battle, Shiro does not speak but instead gives out growls and meows. She is also emotionless, except for a snarl that she gives occasionally. Thus she is called "Shiro" which means white in Japanese because she is blank.
Something you might want to know about her is that Shiro attacks with her claws and her teeth, and when fighting often runs on all fours - she is very animalistic.
