This year, my class read Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurst. Part of my final project on the book was to represent certain quotes in different forms.
I decided to illustrate Janie at the end of the novel because it's when she's finally experiences genuine love and despite everything she's gone through, achieves her own peace and happiness.

This is my first time actually digitally "painting" so it took a loooot longer than I expected. My house also blacked out when I was doing this, so I had to redo almost half of the painting. Afterwards though, I saved every 3 minutes.
