My remedy against the lousy-weather-blues: Go nuts with acrylics
The texture is made by sticking weeds (of which there are always plenty in my garden, grrrrrr) on a canvas and pouring acrylic paints over them. Great fun!
I see a cave with bats in there, hence the title.

The brand of acrylic paints I use? Dear, I can't even tell you; it is some el cheapo brand, student grade, made in India, which I buy in the hobby section of the village hardware store!

Hahaha You're so right, it's acrylics I meant indeed.
That's smart to do experiments with student grade paints so when you "graduate" to artist quality paints, you will love your works even more. And you're so right about me loving ceramics. I dream ceramics, looking forward to each lesson with excitement. Did you check into that in France so your summer could be fun too?
