sooo, stupid question (maybe?) you took this picture by leaving your camera out taking the picture and this is the sky (or earth) actually moving (not the camera) in about half an hours time? that is truly amazing!!

Wow, your low ISO speed made a big difference, I can't believe this didn't come out noisy, so great job.
One question for you, the EOS400D has a max shutter speed of about 30 seconds, so you were using some bulb timer I'm assuming. Do you mind divulging what technology you were using to capture this shot? I've been trying to do the same sort of shots!
Great work, added you as a fav, keep it up!

This makes me feel dizzy
The red works really well I think. It gives it a slight creepiness. You can sort of image someone looking up in a horror film, and the sky turns red and starts spinning

What causes the stars to become blurry like that? The rotation of the Earth?

Wow, this is lovely.
The red is a nice touch.
Lately, my boyfriend has been trying star trails, but the light is always too bright.
Any tips?

How does one set their camera to stay open for half an hour?
