Description
Davis and Matt were heading to the hospital TK had gone to tell the others that they had found Ken, they finely made it there and Matt told Davis that he'd go in and get Ken checked into a room or something while Davis went to go get the others.

Davis hurried off but Wormmon stayed with Matt and Gabumon hopping along as they walked.

Matt managed to get the attention of a young nurse and she got a doctor. Matt sighed and walked out to the waiting room and sat down in a chair.

Then he heard a voice call his name. "Matt!"

Matt looked turned and saw Tai, Davis, Kari, TK, and Izzy walking up to him.

"Where's Ken?" Tai asked.

"I got him to a doctor and he told me to wait here." Matt answered his friend.

"Well this sucks." Davis shouted as he kicked at the ground.

The doctor then came out and they all ran to him.

"Is he alright?" Davis asked.

"Is he gonna die?" Demi Veemon joined in.

"Please...please tell me Ken will be okay." Wormmon begged through his big teary eyes.

"Easy one at a time." the doctor said putting his hands up.

"Well will he be okay?" Davis asked. The doctor frowned, and shook his head.

"I'm not sure he has some strange injuries but I have never seen an injury like this before." The doctor said.

"Is he awake yet." Kari asked.

"Yeah he's awake. But I don't know if seeing anyone would be a good idea. However he is asking for someone named Wormmon and someone named Davis." The doctor replied.

The little green Digimon hopped down out of the chair he had been sitting in and hobbled over to the doctor.

Davis also walked over to the man in the white coat.

"Yeah that's us." He said as he picked up Wormmon so they could move a little faster, while Demi Veemon rode on Davis' head.

The doctor just blinked for a second looking at the strange creatures then he nodded and led Davis, Wormmon, and Demi Veemon to Ken's room.

The others watched Davis and the two Digimon disappear behind the door after it closed.

"I hope Ken will be okay." Patamon said.

"Don't worry pal I think he'll be fine." TK said.

"I'm not so sure TK." Izzy said as he scratched his head.

Tentomon looked at his partner.

"What's on your mind Izzy?" Tentomon asked.

"Well...if I heard right...the doctor said he was hit by some sort of unknown weapon. If that weapon was from a Digimon...he may have trouble." Izzy said.

"That's true. Digimon weapons can be harmful to other Digimon but to humans they can be very deadly." Gatomon said.

Kari looked down at her little cat Digimon worriedly. "So are you saying he'll die?" She whispered.

"It's very possible." Gatomon said.

"Stop thinking negative you guys." Tai said sternly.

"He's right. We have to think positive." Agumon agreed.

"He was awake the last time I was in here, but I'm afraid he wasn't fully responding he must have been just barely conscious because he wasn't making much sense, so if hes asleep again I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave." The doctor said.

Davis nodded and the doctor stopped at a door that had the numbers 403 on the door.

The doctor opened the door and Davis walked in, he saw Ken resting on the bed his were closed.

'Damn, he's asleep.' Davis thought.

The doctor placed a hand on Davis' shoulder and nodded telling him to step out.

Davis was about to but then he looked at Wormmon who was just staring at Ken worriedly.

"Um. Excuse me could Wormmon stay here? He's a real good friend of Ken's and I think he'd be happy to spend some time with him alone. He's been really worried about Ken lately.

The doctor looked at the little Digimon then back at Ken, he sighed and nodded.

"Thanks." Davis said and set Wormmon down on the bed by Ken's feet. Davis then left to go talk to the others about the situation at hand.

Wormmon hopped nuzzled Ken's arm and sighed. "Oh Ken. I'm sorry...I should have tried harder to protect you." Wormmon said.

"Y-You did your best..." came a raspy voice.

Wormmon looked at Ken's face and saw two tear filled eyes looking at him. "Ken. You're awake."

Ken looked around a little taking in his surroundings. "Where am I?" He asked softly.

"The hospital Ken. The others found you tied up in that truck by abandoned warehouse." Wormmon tried to explain.

Ken suddenly bolted up right and his eyes widened. "My parents. They're probably worried sick about me." Ken said as he swung his legs off the bed and stood up, he wobbled a bit and Wormmon shook his head.

"Please Ken. Please lay back down. You need to rest. I can get one of the other children to alert your parents of your location."

Ken shook his head and started for the door but the door opened and the doctor stood there his eyes wide in surprise.

"How can you be standing you were..." the doctor started.

"Please I need to go home to my parents." Ken said.

"I'm sorry son but you're injured and I need to find a way to help you." The doctor explained.

Ken's eyes narrowed in confusion. "Injured? I feel fi-"

Ken stopped suddenly when he felt a searing pain in his back.

He saw a mirror in the room and walked over to it, he took off Matt's jacket and turned around and looked over his shoulder at the mirror and screamed in horror at what he saw.

Matt, Tai, and Davis now remained at the hospital. Tai had told Kari to go home because she looked tired and TK had offered to take her home because he wanted to head home himself, and Izzy had gone home to work on his computer.

They were all sitting in the waiting room almost half asleep when they suddenly heard a scream of sheer terror.

"KEN!" Davis yelled and sprang to his feet scaring Demi Veemon who had been sleeping in his lap.

Agumon and Gabumon looked at each other and got to their feet as well when Tai and Matt got up.

Davis through the door open despite the fact that the security gaurd had told him to stop, and ran for the sound of Ken's voice. Demi Veemon had digivolved to Veemon and he was following Davis quickly.

Matt and Tai followed Davis as well as Agumon and Gabumon and finely Davis stopped at a door that read 403, he opened it and saw Ken shirtless screaming as he was trying to look at his back from over his shoulder.

"What the hell happened to my back!" Ken shrieked.

"What are you talking about Ke-"

Tai stopped when Matt muttered a curse.

"Tai look at that." Matt said pointing at Ken's back.

Davis' mouth dropped open in shock.

"Well that's not good." Veemon said.

There was a long dark burn like mark that streaked all the way down Ken's back over his spine, starting from his neck to the end of his spine, then on his neck there was more of it that ran all the way across the right side but stopped once it got to the center of his throat.

"Ken calm down we'll figure this out." Davis said as he recovered from his shock.

"Oh my god what if my mom sees this!" Ken cried, tears came to his eyes again and he sunk to his knees. "What did they do to me..." He whispered. "...what am I going to do!"

"Ken Please. I'm sure we can find a way to get rid of it." Wormmon said.

Ken opened his mouth to say something but he felt a horrible agonizing pain and he screamed and clutched the side of his neck where the burns were.

"Ahhhhh It burns!" He yelled before he suddenly passed out.

"How can you be standing you were..." the doctor started.

"Please I need to go home to my parents." Ken said.

"I'm sorry son but you're injured and I need to find a way to help you." The doctor explained.

He saw a mirror in the room and walked over to it, he took off Matt's jacket and turned around and looked over his shoulder at the mirror and screamed in horror at what he saw.

"What the hell happened to my back!" Ken shrieked.

Tai stopped when Matt muttered a curse.

Davis' mouth dropped open in shock.

"Well that's not good." Veemon said.

"Ken calm down we'll figure this out." Davis said as he recovered from his shock.

"Oh my god what if my mom sees this!" Ken cried, tears came to his eyes again and he sunk to his knees. "What did they do to me..." He whispered. "...what am I going to do!"

"Ken Please. I'm sure we can find a way to get rid of it." Wormmon said.

Ken opened his mouth to say something but he felt a horrible agonizing pain and he screamed and clutched the side of his neck where the burns were.

"Ahhhhh It burns!" He yelled before he suddenly passed out.
