Description
Ken woke up with a groan of pain his stomach felt tight, it was almost as if skin were sticking together, Ken opened his eyes and looked down he saw he had a layer of stitches covering the area where he had been stabbed by Oikawa.

Ken rested his head back against the pillow and he heard what sounded like very soft snoring. He looked down and in the crook of his arm Wormmon was snuggled up against his body.

He heard voices outside the room by the door he watched as Tai, Matt, Yolie, Cody, Kari, TK, and Davis walked in Yolie and Davis were arguing about something but stopped when they saw Ken was awake.

"Hey man! You made it." Davis exclaimed and hurried over to his side.

"So what happened?" Yolie asked.

"What?" Ken asked.

"Why were you int he digital world with Arukenimon and Mummymon?" Yolie asked stating her question completely.

"Well...I left the hospital to go find talk to my parents and Owikawa and those two took me hostage and took me into the digital wor-" Ken couldn't finish his sentence because Davis cut him off. "Wait. Who?" He asked.

"Oikawa. Evidently hes the one behind the missing children. Mummymon and Arukenimon work for him." Ken said.

"Really? So Arukenimon is being told what to do?" Cody asked.

Ken nodded and the markings on Ken's back started to glow and Ken screamed in pain as he tried to grab the area that was hurting.

"Ken. Please Ken calm down." Wormmon's voice spoke.

Ken looked down at his digimon who was now awake and looking at him worriedly.

After five minutes Ken started to settle down as the pain stopped, he rested his head back against the pillow as he tried to calm himself hoping that if he did so the pain would go away.

"We need to find a way to get rid of that." Kari said as she pointed at the marking running along the outline of Ken's spine.

"Do you know what it is Agumon?" Tai asked as his digimon walked closer to Ken and looked at the side of his neck that had the markings as well.

"Actually I think I do." Agumon replied.

"Well what is it?" Davis asked impatiently.

Agumon reached up and placed one of his claws on the black skin and Ken screamed in pain.

"Sorry." Agumon said softly.

"Yeah I know what it is. It's some sort of curse." Agumon said.

"A curse?" Kari asked.

"Yeah, some digimon have the power to inflict a curse that can leave markings, the only way to get the curse removed is if the person who produced the curse lifts it themselves." Gatomon said.

"So there's no way we can remove it?" Cody asked the cat digimon.

"No." Gatomon replied.

"Ken? Ken are you in here." A voice called from outside.

Ken's eyes widened and he looked at Matt "I need that jacket you loaned me where is it? My mom can't see me like this." Ken said looking frantically.

Matt walked to the window where they had put Ken's shirt and the jacket he had let Ken have he picked up the jacket and tossed it to Ken who quickly slipped it on and put the collar up to cover the curse markings on his neck.

Ken watched as his mother and father walked into the room his mother was crying because she was so worried and Ken soon found himself being hugged to near death by his mother.

"Oh Ken! We thought we had lost you." She cried.

"I'm sorry mom. I should have told you where I was." Ken said as tears started to leak from his own eyes, he hated it when his mom cried it made him feel bad.

"Oh sweetie...I'm so sorry what happened?" Ken looked at his friends for a second and sighed.

"Guys could you leave for a few minutes." Ken said as he glanced at Wormmon who was hiding behind a box, Wormmon always hid from Ken's parents because Ken had never explained to them about digimon or anything, he never introduced them to Wormmon.

"Sure Ken." Davis said and smiled then he carried Demi Veemon out of the room and the others carried their now in-training level digimon out too.

"Mom, Dad we need to talk...I have to tell you something, something I should have told you a long time ago." Ken said looking away from them.

Ken's parents sat down beside the bed and listened as their son explained about the digital world and the digimon.

~Five Minutes Later~

"So each of your friends have one of these little creatures? Is that what they were holding when they left?" Mr. Ichijouji asked.

"Yes. And I have one too." Ken said as he carefully got up out of the bed and to his feet.

"Ken. Honey you shouldn't be out of bed." Mrs. Ichijouji said softly.

"It's okay mom." Ken said as he walked over to the boxes Wormmon was hiding behind.

He picked his little green digimon up and looked at them. "Mom, Dad this is Wormmon he's my best friend." Ken said.

Wormmon looked at Mr. and Mrs. Ichijouji and started to speak. "You must be Ken's parents. Ken has told me so much about you." He said.

Ken's parents were stunned they hadn't known this.

Ken walked back over to the bed and sat down with Wormmon.

"Some digimon are friendly, some are not. But Wormmon is the nicest digimon I have ever met. He's very understanding and is always willing to listen." Ken said rubbing Wormmon's head near one of his antennas.

Ken smile disappeared though. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner...I didn't know how you'd take it." Ken whispered.

"Ken. We wouldn't be mad at you. Ken we love you and nothing will ever change that." Mr. Ichijouji said as he rested a hand on his son's shoulder.

"Okay dad." Ken said as he wiped at his eyes which he now noticed he'd been crying a little bit.

"Well Ken your mother and I need to get back to work. Rest well son." Mr. Ichijouji whispered.

"Okay bye." Mr. Ichijouji walked out and Mrs. Ichijouji stood then bent over and kissed Ken on the forehead.

"Love you sweety." She said and left taking one last glance at Wormmon and Ken before she walked out the door.

Then Davis and everybody walked back in.

"You hadn't told them about the digital world yet?" Cody asked.

"No." Ken said softly.

"Wow, how'd you keep it a secret for that long?" Yolie asked.

"I was hiding Wormmon in the office at home." Ken replied.

"Hey Ken do you know what this Oikawa guy wanted with you?" TK asked.

Ken nodded. "Evidently when I first came to the digital world he implanted something called a dark spore inside my body, he wanted to take some of it and transfer it into each of the children he kidnapped."

"That's horrible!" Yolie exclaimed.

Davis looked at Tai then back at Ken. "Did you let him do it?" He asked.

"I didn't have a choice, he forced me to help him whether I wanted to or not." Ken said.

"But why did he abduct you two times, I mean surely he could have done that when you were on the truck." Ken was about to answer Tai's question when suddenly the markings on Ken's back and neck flashed bright blue and Ken's eyes widened in terror and as he now just started to stare into space.

Kari noticed her friend's startled gaze and walked over to the bed he was laying on.

"Ken? What's wrong?" She asked touching the dark haired boy's shoulder.

Tears started to fall from Ken's eyes and Tai walked over to him as well. "Woah. Ken I didn't mean to upset you man." Tai said.

"Yoooohoooooo Earth to Ken?" Davis said annoyingly waving a hand in front of Ken's face.

Yolie smacked Davis upside the head for being so 'disrespectful' towards Ken. "Owww what was that for..." Davis whined.

"H-He's right behind you." Ken whispered fearfully as more tears fell.

"Huh?" They all said in unision as they turned around to look but all they saw was a wall.

"There's no one there." Patamon said.

They all looked back at Ken who was still crying.

Ken looked down at Wormmon who was sitting in his lap looking at him worridly. "Wormmon what's happening to me, why do I keep seeing things?" Ken asked before he broke down, crying and sobbing in a hysterical mess.

The group just sat there unsure of what to do, they could tell Ken was trying to shut them out so he'd be alone with Wormmon.

It was a long time before finely Ken spoke again. "I-I've been having dreams lately, an-and I'm scared Wormmon, I'm *sob* scared." Ken said as he hugged Wormmon tightly.

Yolie was about to say something but Matt shushed her. "Listen." He told her softly.

Wormmon looked up at Ken with his big eyes. "Scared of what Ken?" He asked.

"Wormmon...my dreams are coming true...every single one of them...and now...I'm afraid that you and all the chosen children will abandon me and I'll be *sob* alone...as punishment for what I did...I've done something awful Wormmon...and now...there's nothing I can do to take it back..."
