Honestly I've REALLY been hoping for a long time now that eventually in the series Amethyst and Pearl will grow closer, I don't mind if it's a romantic relationship or a closer friendship or what, but they both have so many insecurities and relations and keep turning away to everyone else instead of looking right ahead at someone they could be much closer to. Like me and my older sister I feel like a big problem with it is in the past pearl has always treated amethyst like a little kid, along with others, sense she was the youngest and all and energetic, and in turn doesn't accept properly the changes amethyst is having in her life and development of her personality, and in turn amethyst isn't feeling open enough to turn to Pearl with any of her problems or really listen to Pearl one on one too often. They keep acting like they're in different worlds and purposely aren't bonding, and as the show has gone on since the one episode with the kindergarden I feel some good communication between them is completely lacking to the audience, not even much bickering...I hope they get closer.
