The Ostara Rune Eggs. During ritual, these are distributed among the attendees. Each person chooses their own egg without being able to see which rune is on it until they pick it. The silver eggs are for the men, gold for the women, and red for the children. By Germanic tradition, Ostara was an all-night vigil. In the morning, all those who wished would go outside to greet the sunrise. The landowner would plow a furrow from East to West, and all those who wished would "plant" their egg, thereby giving back to the Earth and "planting" their rune so as to manifest its attributes in their lives.
