I've always been a little nervous around her. I didn't feel like I could talk to her. I was worried she would be too much or I wouldn't be enough.
...but something changed when she invited me on that nature walk. I didn't think anything of it. She's done this with a lot of people in her orbit, most closer to her than I was. She thrived in the woods, but I didn't really feel like I was having a good time. But when we got back to her house, she turned to me and smiled.
Something about her has been different since then. Heck, everything's been different since then. she can't keep herself away from me, and I never miss an opportunity to chat her up.
I never thought we'd be such close friends. Though she could lay it off a bit with the hugs.
