Thanks so much, sweet Doll! I actually got a new Canon EOS a couple of weeks ago and I had my lens set on 300 mm so he didn't even know I was photographing him. I'm looking at getting a 800-1300mm which will allow me to photograph 2 miles away.

This is a real beautiful shot be proud of it. Oh that is so awesome I never knew how to set mine up for long range  images. I am happy you got a new camera I hope you get a lot of joy from it.

Yep, it all depends on the lens length, like when I photographed the female lions...I was no where near them. I was several feet away. I took many, many shots at the zoo and the zoos trails along the river, which is only 2 miles from my house, yesterday, so I have many more to upload. 
And yes, I have had many cameras and this one by far is the best!   It's the Canon EOS T7. Amazon has the best $$ on cameras. Most come in kits, so you get more than one kind of lens. I got a macro with mine and many filters, table top tripod and a regular tripod and some other goodies for a great price.

Glad you got a camera you were pleased with mine was a gift and I am not a technical person and there are so many features in there that I still have never become familiar with. I guess I do not have the patience to try to study it. I tried in the beginning but lost interest so all I do now is just do the automatic on it. I find that Ebay has good prices and I do most of my shopping with them as many times they do not add shipping and handing charges. But I buy from Amazon too.

When I buy from Amazon, I always choose the 5-8 days delivery so I don't have to pay the shipping.
