Description
AU: After defeating Alpha, the duo was about to part ways when an unexpected complication happened: The portal started to suck everything into its vortex, including the heroes and the hostile nanite. The three were pulled in and hurled to who knows where. When Ben and Rex came to, they find themselves in a park, but they sense something is different here. Another realization is that the Alpha nanite is nowhere to be seen, and fear it was only a matter of time before it broke of his containment pod. But first, Ben and Rex have to find out their current location. Somehow, without making any identity-revealing scenes, they learn they are at a city called Gotham. There, they realize they are in another universe altogether.

When a crime springs up, they spring to action while hiding their identities, they cross paths with one of the local villains, the Joker, Rex charges in to pin him down (with much difficulty) while Ben as one of his aliens to free and evacuate the hostages. Things get interesting when Batman appears. Stunned to see two new guys in his city, the dark knight is wary of them but soon realizes they are not the enemy as he jumps into the action. After defeating the Joker, the duo escape before they could be questioned. Batman (and Gotham City as a whole) is perplexed to learn of two new super-powered individuals fighting the criminals and gets to work on finding them out and their intentions. Meanwhile, at GothCorp, the researchers are inspecting a big orb giving off a very ominous vibe... the orb that contains Alpha, for now. How they found it is currently unknown and what they plan to do with Alpha can't possibly be good...

Afterwards, the alien shapeshifter and the nanite boy, having donned their aliases of Xeno-Legion and Nanobuilder respectively, have laid low while using their powers to defend the city while tracking down Alpha. Meanwhile Batman crosses paths with them trying to understand their motives, occasionally joining forces to take down their foes such as Penguin, Riddler, etc. After a while, Batman figures them out and brings them to where they can talk. Soon, they explain their reason for being here as an accident and badly need to find and stop the threat of Alpha, who is growing stronger by the minute and waiting to strike Gotham City at any moment.

Will Ben, Rex, and Bruce join forces and stop Alpha from destroying Gotham City and will the boys ever get back to their original universes...?

Takes place starting in the first season of The Batman in episode 10 "Topsy Turvy" and continues into season 3.
