Hybrid Name: Crotalusaurus velox
Meaning: Swift Rattlesnake Lizard
Codename: Sidewinder
Creation: The base gene is that of an Allosaurus, the rest is made up of Velociraptor, Herrerasaurus, Gilla Monster, Thorny Devil Lizard, and various Rattlesnake species.
Size: 20 feet long
Special Abilities: Infrared vision, venom.
Reason for Creation: The military wanted a fast, dangerous predator that could be used in desert settings, so Dr. Wu and his team created the Crotalusaurus velox. This animal was bred for the sole purpose of being able to function at full capacity even in the most extreme temperatures. They have thick, dry, bumpy skin and their colored with mutated browns, yellows, and oranges to better camouflage in dry environments. Due to the use of Rattlesnake and Gilla Monster DNA these animals can see in infrared, and they have a venomous bite. They are thin, muscular creatures with very powerful hind legs that allow them to run and jump at incredible levels. They are intelligent due to the Velociraptor DNA, but all of the animals that were used to make these creatures are extremely aggressive species and there is absolutely no chance of domesticating them. This is fine of course, Crotalusaurus was never intended to be trained but rather released in to enemy territory where they would wreak havoc. They are pack hunting animals and a group of 5 were bred and are kept in a secure pen on Isla del Miedo.
