Description
A triptych of the three reductive wooden plates. I was trying to show narrative through abstract form and color. I was looking a Norse runes and epics to get some ideas. I wanted the image to be thick and heavy. The rune as a mark is recognized as being a labor intensive mark, being carved into wood, stone, or steel. I tried to go for something similar but in a more painterly way. The colors reflect light fading away; the impending doom of Ragnarok
