Description

When I first thought of this, it was supposed to be a kind of backup. Like: "I am having trouble with something else, let's just draw a big guy". Didn't expect it to become the most time consuming thing I've done so far, to the point that I'm surprised I didn't get fed up with it earlier.

Some thoughts I had while drawing:

1 - The first decision was about how much he should look like a statue and how much like a machine/robot. I tried a few versions until I got to this point.

2 - I originally had him in a different pose but I felt it looked kind of like Atlas, so I changed it to this one, (which I found quite a bit harder to draw).

3 - Trying to make him look metallic took some trial and error until I got to a point I was okay with.

4 - As usual, I find backgrounds difficult. This time I spent A LOT of time on it.
