I got stuck on this for a while. It really takes me too long to realize when I've hit a wall and should move on to the next thing...
I read Carmilla before drawing this final version, in part thinking that it might have some influence on how I would do this.
I modified a couple of things as a nod, but the fundamental idea didn't really change.
