It's funny, because the one reason why I've never quite considered Darcy my "ideal man" (even though I LOVE P&P) is exactly that, that he always seems a bit too uptight and serious. But I do always picture him as being more relaxed and having more of a sense of humor with the people he's really close to, like Lizzy, or his sister Georgiana, or Bingley. I always love the end of the BBC version of P&P (the one with Colin Firth), right after the wedding, when Darcy is getting into the carriage and he gives this huge, happy smile after not smiling once for basically the entire movie. It's so adorable, because it just really shows how this is the happiest moment of his life. The Darcy in the 2005 movie smiled more and seemed softer, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
