First of all, the background looks amazing, what are you talking about! I love the dark scene; and the almost rockfall like effects in the background, it really makes the characters look cornered and trapped.
And as always, your characters are perfect! I love the determination in the Pikachu's face, and the helpless look in the Vulpix's eyes; absolutely fantastic!

no really, I love this master piece. I mean the colors you used for this are absolutely wonderful! It looks like an awesome painting or something with those kinds of colors and techniques.
