Interesting, your comments about about focal points. I was about to say (and I guess I'm going to anyway) that I would've preferred it with a greater depth of field. I like what you did to it in photoshop though.

awesome, I love how everything except the waterpost and the hose are desaturated. this is very nice..
though one thing about these photos.. they should be bigger !?

thanx for the comments all, i apreciate it as i am fairly new to this site/board. i wasnt sure where to post it, so i thought this would b the best place.

this photo was in color, then i desaturated the background while keeping the hose/hydrant in color. i shot this exact image 5 times with differant focal points and what not and found the fire hydrant in focus, the center of the image fuzzy was the best. shot it at f/2.0 on either 100 or 200 iso film, i cant rember.

gestik is right, the yellow gives the shot a kick in the pants. was the yellow added later os was the rest of the shot grayscaled in post?

excellent use of selective colorization, although imho should be in indyart->photo manipulated.

not everyday do you see a fire hose running down the street like that..makes for a great photo but sucks for the building, heh.
