Description
Here's the final design of the main digivice for my Digimon Generations series. The main inspiration for this was the Digimon Adventure butterfly motif along with the digivice design for that season while also trying to make it look like a ancient, sacred device.

Another inspiration was Omegamon Merciful Mode with the blue streaks across the device. I gave it a open and closed mode since I thought about the real life toy aspect that it can have.

In universe, this digivice is spiritually given to a person if they are able to form a bond with any digimon, so you don't have to be a Digidestined or chosen by a higher Digimon of power to receive one. This digivice is the main source of power for partner Digimon along with the tamer's spirit. Aside from providing the partner Digimon power, it allows them to temporarily digivolve and open Digital Gates.

If a tamer loses their partner digimon and they cannot be reborn, it shatters due to the death of the bond. If a tamer’s digimon dies but is reborn into a Digi-egg, the digivice will be temporarily petrified until the egg hatches. Tamers who are partnered with a artificial Digimon do not receive a D-Star due to the Digital World not registering that Digimon as a legitimate species.
