Fossils found: Up to 12 species are found in China, Siberia, Mongolia, and Possibly Thailand and Laos.

Fossil evidence has found that the Psittacosaurus had quill bristles on its tail, black osteoderms on each shoulder arm and chest, and as well as the skin colour was darkish orange-brown, beige underbelly, with a black head, and an orange beak. that it used it to blend into the forest background.
