While looking through old family pictures, Tommy stumbled upon a picture of Hope and her younger brother Henry taken during prom. Shortly after dropping out of college, Hope moved back to her parents' house where she for a while lived with them and Henry, who was still in his junior year of high school. During that period, Henry dated a girl but unfortunately, they broke up near the end of the school year, which left him sad and depressed. Seeing Henry playing video games all day depressed in his room, Hope felt bad for him as she could relate to him and so to cheer him up, she asked him out to prom and he accepted, but not after a bit of pushback from him initially. Now she knew how Hunter must've felt trying to get her to participate in social events during college, but she didn't care as she didn't want to see Henry all miserable and sad and going to social events definitely helped her mentally. Plus she was curious about going to prom as unlike Hunter, she never did went to prom during her high school years since at the time she thought proms were overrated and way too fucking expensive. And so they went to prom and by the end, Henry felt a little better as he actually had a good time with Hope and so he was thankful to his sister for exposing her pregnant self to high schoolers to make him feel better.

Seeing Hope smiling and all happy in her prom picture was nice as Tommy half the time would see his mom looking all miserable and uncomfortable, despite her best efforts to hide it from him.
