thanks, this lay of the land is so typical of England, but what made this scene special to me was the contrasts of the trees in the forested area, the heather and gorse being out at the same time and the smooth green fields in the background. All these textures and colours are not as common and there is a short window of time when this can be seen!.

PS - This reminded me of some of the scenery in one of my favourite films - "Shadowlands".

Its a moving account of the relationship between C S Lewis and poet Joy Gresham. Stars Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger. I thought it was wonderful. Its set in the home counties with some stunning scenery - just like your photo.
