A pencil drawing of a match box. I enroled in an arts school and one of the conditions was to draw either a cigarette box or a match box. I chose the match box because it was shortly after I had stopped smoking and the pressure from drawing cigarettes would have been a killer, as anyone here who has stopped smoking can guess. It's one of 10 drawings I had to submit so they could see if the people enroling had any talent. They took me.The only digital work I did on it was remove dirt and fingerprints from around the match box. And I fixed the contrast that my scanner had screwed up.

I love the details you put into the matchsticks. The overall box seems slightly unnatural, but the sticks inside the box are a different matter entirely; the minute details and shade for each stick amazes me. No wonder you got into that art school of yours; mad skills

very beautyful.. you indeed have lots of talent.. even if i understand a box of matches is not that stimulating..
anyway, if you wanna know my opinion, the shadows are all screwed up, but i'm not a freehand artist so i can't tell why..
