Perfect Lover, Perfect End
Beginning too; and in between
Creator of our planet green
And Maker of the blackest night
Floating clouds and birds in flight
When I despair on earth below,
Guard you child from the Foe
Your might is Great, I trust in you,
Who made the ocean deep and blue
Your love is greater than the storm,
Shelter me and keep me warm
Not fate or chance which brought me here
You knew your daughter; called me “dear”
To Your great heart you beckon now,
And to Your Name all knees must bow
Your Love, so great it ends all strife,
Has brought Your people into Life
Not “I have”; “I AM” you said,
And then raised Lazarus from the dead.
Mystery Great and power greater,
Became a man and died for traitors.
You love is great, O Creator sublime,
You who “were” from the beginning of time
Inspire me to do your will,
So that my life with praise be filled.
