Description Looks like some kinda cross-section of something maybe, but I don't know what...

This tiles horizontally. Does anyone really care to know that?

Divine! The colours and patterns are fabulous, as is the very 3D look. You're a great fractalist!

The log plugin is here [link] . I think you can do about the same thing with polar2, if you have it already. Happy Birthday!

I understand completely. I haven't been that active lately either. I am starting to get the urge to get back into it though. I never did finish my Shajiki character. (I need to redo her head... ugh.... I am thinking about reworking the body mesh as well....)

I would think that one of the hardest parts (of many) would be to get the mesh right so that it poses well. It's a daunting task for sure.

Lokai2000 In reply to parrotdolphin [2008-08-30 16:00:49 +0000 UTC]

The one thing I am learning is that it is impossible to make a perfect mesh that can handle all poses. Unfortunately, the whole experience has made me more sensitive to the bending errors in Aiko3, Victoria, and the other models I use. It has also given a lot more respect for how much effort the people at DAZ must put into creating models.

On a different note... I really like Shajiki's body and have finally got the bones to a fairly decent working skeleton. Since the head was the first thing I worked on, it is just not at the same quality as the rest of her and looks out of place.

Well, I hope you get her done. She looks like a great model.

That sounds like a good book. Interesting ideas.

golem1 In reply to parrotdolphin [2008-08-30 23:07:56 +0000 UTC]

Yup. There's a summary on Wikipedia. There are several books about Ringworld, I don't think I've read them all. The BDO (Big Dumb Object) has become a sort of generic sci fi theme, like robots, rockets and time machines.

I believe you! Well, the final transform is the log Plugin - it makes the image tilable horizontally. So, now you can put up Apo-boarders all around your room.
