Cafe.I never really learned how to draw or paint characters.
I am pretty good at cartoony people and animating shapes but not when it comes to
building a believable scene WITH characters!
So, I'm going to work on this going forward.
You might be seeing quite a few studies like this one.
Maybe not all the time, but I'll sneak them in once in a while.
My goal is to get as comfortable with characters as I am with environments and lighting.
That's all.

I don't think your figures are that cartoony; your backgrounds/scenery are incredibly accurate, and the people you draw seem to inhabit those environments. You can draw something that looks 'true' without having to make it look photo-like real (though you often manage that too).
