This is the last one in the series!
It's number 10 in the series of line drawings. I just did these because I felt tired of being scared to work with lines.
I've never been able to do clean lines and abecause of that I never thought I could be a good artist.
I got tired of that feeling last week so I decided to try and force myself for the next ten drawings to do them primarily with lines rather than blocking out shapes in color.
I don't necessarily feel like I can draw better with lines now but at least I'm not as afraid of using them as I was ten drawings ago!!
I know it sounds a little stupid and simplistic, but..meh.. we have to keep ourselves challenged as artists, right?

I kind of have the same issue with straight lines, so i empathize with you on that point.
I think it's also a problem of how we learn how to draw. When i see my nephews and nieces drawing, like most kids, they never do any abstract practice, and often they ask me why I do some "weird things" (that don't represent anything), and i explain to them it's just practice, for the dexterity. And i try to learn them to just practice: squares, rounds, spirals, etc..
No one ever asks a pianist why he works on his scales. The same goes for drawing IMO.

Hooray for pushing yourself out of your comfort zone! The project has been beautiful to see. Your lovely compositions and mood are still present, without a doubt. The messy line look is so great! You are intentional with it and it is as skillfully expressive as your paintings. Well done!
