i don't get it. so she realized she was hugging the wrong guy or they knew each other but got separated and when she hugged him they were both happy until they realized they aren't together anymore or how does it go? :/

I had to look at it another time to come up with a story that makes sense to me.
What I think is that there is a guy walking by himself, maybe having a rough day so far. A girl suddenly comes running towards him, he hears her, and turns around happily. She is putting her arms around his neck while he puts his arms around her. Thinking that she's a different person than who she really is, spins her around. He loses his balance, and then both of them fall. They both take a closer look at each other's face and realize that they thought each other were different people. He helps pick up her dropped stuff, she apologizes, he waves good bye, and he smiles at what happened. He now feels happier than before.

I think you're looking way too into it and making it too complicated. It's up to interpretation really..
Though I think the artist did intend this to be a story without words.
