Ehh... looked, to me, like one of the narrow channels of water that run between the blocks of the floating (or, sinking, shall I say) city of Venice. You know, the nasty waste-pool that the tourists take romantic gondola rides through? Maybe it's just easier to recognize since my mind has seen it before.

I love the effect... the darkness and drab... leaving it up to someone to take it into their own perspective. Maybe its an outlook to a reflection to one's soul. Or a look into the future. Where will the darkness leads..

From some points of view, it looks like the London docks...
The shading you put on this is marvellous, regardless of how Venice is doing in terms of street crime, this would put me off stepping into the area. The texture of it does make it feel more grainy and dirty with that effect, this really does reach into the depths of one's caution. If that isn't a good enough reaction, I don't know what is.

eh, forgot to actually comment on the piece x_X Anyhoo, I like the glowy darkness that you have in there, and I THINK that's a girl with her hand up about to turn around and attack someone...it has a real surreal, lonely feeling. Reminds me a bit of 28 Days Later.

No prob! I have this book called the Sight by David Clement-Davies and I was sketcing the wolf on the back and it came out pretty well. Then, I abducted one of my cousin's photographs of Edinbura (that's how you say it...but definately not how you spell it

thanks. venice is a very nice town. if you have the opportunity to go there, seize it. but avoid pizza restaurants, they're just tourist attractions

First of all I love the grainy texture to it and the dreary colour scheme. However the thing I like the most is its abstract nature. There are so many ways to look at this image you could try and identify the original scene and the changes you have made or you can disregard that completely and take it all in. The shapes and patterns of light and dark can open up so many thoughts. 2 bright bodys of light trying to find each other in the dark. A once great thing breaking down and crumbling into nothing. Hopefull, dipressing or something else alltogether. It all depends how you look at it. That is why I like this so much.
