I am starting an open species called Vions (vines + lions). I did everything digitally so it would be a clean reference for everyone 💕 please feel free to create vions of your own! Mix and match things from the reference to make plenty of your very own, but below and on the reference there are a few rules.

♡ Vions are always quadrupedal with the build of a large wild cat! Their legs can be tangled vines or one strong vine.
♡ Manes on males only!! Tufts can apply to either gender.
♡ Vions always have ears and tails, manes and tufts always have a grassy texture and are darker colored than the base color of the vion. Vions themselves have either a grassy texture or a stem-like texture.
♡ Flowers can be of any color except green. They can be found on either gender, but more commonly females.
♡ Flower types vary greatly. This can be determined by genetics or mutations through environmental factors. Some vions do not have flowers at all.
♡ Vions can vary from the size of a house cat (in rare cases) to the size of a lion. Most are very large.
♡ Certain traits can only appear in females, such as heart noses and ears. Other traits result in detrimental side effects, such as flower eyes leave vions blind.

♡ Only 3 legendary traits per vion.
♡ 50/50 male to female ratio
♡ Vion Plural: Vions
♡ Group of Vions: Pride
♡ Vion Offspring: Viorella Viore
♡ Vions have incredible camoflauge skills.
♡ Vions can control plant life within a 15 foot radius of them.
♡ Vions do not eat! They root themselves for some time to absorb nutrients.
♡ They are incredibly difficult to tame! They are meant to live as wild animals.
