Rainstorm is Princess Eventide's best friend. He and the princess are roughly the same age and got along very well. He was her support and shoulder to cry on whenever Nightmare Moon got too harsh in her trainings or whenever Rarity's rejection was too hard for her to handle.He is a fierce protector and grew up to be her close guard and shadow. Nothing got too close to the princess without him knowing about it. Another role he played was her integration to the batpony guards. They were scared and hesitant with the princess but with his reassurance they accepted her. His cutie mark which is not shown is an Ursa major head with a Lance and sword crossed behind her.
