The only survivor from the sinking of the Sabre by an unidentified Category 5 Grimm, Isabelle was found adrift, stubbornly keeping her head above the waves by the forces of anger and crackhead determination alone. After, she became a crew member on the Merveille and worked her way up to being the ship's captain, then to a Fleet Commander, where she presides over the Merveille and its fleet of three destroyers, Espadon, Faucille, and L'étoile du Matin, two attack submarines, Krait and Taipan, and singular missile sub, the Devilfish. Her counterpart from Balaur oversees the other half of the fleet, spearheaded by the Hotesse, with the Dragr mostly remaining independent. The Merveille's 8-inch guns firing is the sweetest sound in the world to Isabelle.

The battle where the Sabre was sunk wasn't the battle where she lost her left eye. It was during a mission, where she was briefly separated from the rest of the group, and ambushed by Tyrian Callows. No matter how many wounds she sustained, she did not seem to care. Growing frustrated, Tyrian stabbed her with his tail and shot her eye out at point-blank range, which proved sufficient enough to provoke a reaction. She would not get to see much past her squad leader at the time, Millie, driving him off with help from the rest of the team before slipping into a coma. Shortly after this battle, she would be promoted to a 2nd Lieutenant in Ratatoskr Squad, then to her current position in Hresvelgr.
