"Exactly." Lethe leaned in so the child couldn't hear and hissed, "So what are you doing with one?"
Cocytus has always been, to say the least, rather promiscuous. Some time in the future, he makes the mistake of having a one-night stand with a business associate. Their business not exactly being a safe one, she gets killed and the child is left to him. So Judecca Charon Hades comes into his father's life as a confused and frightened five year old and, aside from daddy, the only family he knows in the next ten years of his life is his Uncle Lethe.
