Hello! It’s been a century since I last posted! I’ve just been lurking on here but finally getting back to posting!

I’ve been developing many stories, animations and comic worlds and this is one of them. My Lion world of a story and comic series I hope to post called The Onyx Moon featuring a merry band of unique lions. Here’s a bit of the world of Onyx Moon!

We all know lions and prides and that jazz. But in Onyx Moon it’s a bit more, Male Lions who are the leader of the pride usually earn a name with heart, star, mane, or just their given name when they take over the pride if one defeats the old ruling leader. The females earn their names either through skill, personality, or a great achievement they’ve done to earn their given name. Wanderers and Rogues exist within the world. With wanderers they usually tend to themselves and don’t often bother prides unlike rogues where they are exiled/banished lions whether male or female from their prides or homelands. The strongest of the rogues are usually the leaders when rogue prides are formed. This gives them quite the rap and unfortunately extends to wanderers as prides will treat them the same as a rogue should they come across them.

while lions do stick to prides there is one kingdom of lions as in this world each predator has one kingdom with a ruling monarch for feline and canines. Of course many of them don’t get along but few have a neutral relationship if on good terms. Many see it taboo to mate with a feline or canine outside of the species and punishment varies from banishment to execution.
Each kingdom has one favored god or goddess they worship but I’ll talk about them at a later time. now for the protags!

This is part 1 of our cast of pro tags so let’s have some info on them! This pride is made up of a unique batch of species!

First the leader of this unique pride and the “main character” Onyxheart or just Onyx. He’s a beautiful black lion with sapphire eyes. Not much is known of his past but he is a very soft spoken and kind soul who prefers to judge one’s character over species, gender, sexuality, or species history as he believes there is a chance the kingdoms can unify and become one and live in peace if they could open their minds and hearts more. He has a strange power over plants and seems to have the ability to communicate with the dead. He formed this unique pride after meeting his best friend, Saberfang.

next is Saberfang, best friend of Onyxheart. Being an outcast of his former lion pride for being different especially with his unnatural overgrown fangs, Saber left his old pride to live the life of a Wanderer. He soon meets Onyx after getting into some trouble with a rampaging rhino and the two manage to hit it off nicely. Saber is fiercely loyal to Onyx and supports his dream in making the world better while also protecting him from what he perceives a threat. Saber is considered the second in command of the pride as he keeps the peace and helps with what the pride should do while surviving the harshness of their world while keeping a level head.

Spotted Sun is the next member to have joined this band of misfits. Sun has a unique condition with having silver and pastel yellow spotting all over his body. Unfortunately this made him quite easy to see in the night whenever his pride went hunting at night. He met Saber and Onyx when they accidentally stumbled upon Sun’s old pride and we’re attacked. Luckily Onyx manage to convince the leader to stop their attack and showed they meant no harm and just needed a place to rest and regain energy for the time being and promised not to bother his pride. Sun was fascinated with them and was the only one of his pride to give Onyx and Saber a warm welcome. He later joined them after realizing how out of place he was in his pride and seeing as he would be kicked out soon as he was coming of age for a male lion, decided to join Onyx and Saber on their journey.

last is the first lioness to join the group, Palefoot or Pale for short. She was born with albinism therefore stood out like a sore thumb on hunts and when hiding from rogues or rival males. She was abused badly by her pride even her own mother for her pale appearance and was blamed by many of her pride mates for how they lacked catching food or bad hunting accidents due to her pale fur and red eyes. When a young male had defeated her old pride leader he was disgusted by her pale fur and opted to kill her as seeing it as putting her out of her misery but Pale was ultimately saved by Onyx and friends when they were in the area. Onyx convinced the new leader to let him take Pale with them and the leader agreed and said before leaving he kill them if he saw them again. Palefoot has been forever grateful to Onyx for saving her and feels like she finally belongs with her new pride.
