I'mma fishing for.... Little Toadies.
Yeah, obvious choice for the "Mushroom" prompt is obvious, and I kinda felt like doing something with Toad in light of the recent Mario Movie (speaking of, yes I watched it on opening day with my sister and I really liked it). It was weirdly enough the first time I kinda liked Keegan-Michael Key in something (I never really cared about most things he's in), and again, this iteration of our favorite little mushy man felt like a cute little piece like this.
ANd yes, I know that the more obvious fish thing to give Toad the lower half of is the Cheep Cheep, but I liked the idea of giving him the lower half of the Bulber from New Super Mario bros Wii instead, especially if we're toying with the prospect of this particular toad becoming Captain Toad in the future.
I also liked the backpack of camping stuff Toad has in the movie, and it led to me drawing him cooking some deep sea mushrooms and kelp over this volcanic vent here.
