This was made with my Wacom Volito tablet. It's all freehand.
I had this idea some time ago but I was too affraid to draw the transparencies. Have been avoiding it...
So, I finally found some courage to let it all go. It didn't hurt that much. I'm not too pessimist about the result. Although I needed some reference to draw the animal body.
That, in case it doesn't look like one, it is a Fissalia ,a living organism (or several organisms each one with a specific function) that lives at the surface. I read about it some time ago and it really fascinated me.
It represents the society here...

So, hope you like it. This is nothing visually spectacular but I decided to submit it because it is important to me.

I recognized it as a jelly right off, but I read it in a very different way. Those Jellies (Man O'War - Box) are very dangerous and I read this pic as a warning against having children - they're dangerous. hehehe - wonderfull pic nonetheless

I don't know if I have the right words for this. It's amazing. I like the concept a lot. Probably my favorite part is the tentacle part going down from the fetus/pod. your choice of colors and the absence on the fetus are quite interesting.

you wacom wizards KILL ME the way you get such delicate
and subtle effects like you do!
it's amazing how you've managed to accomplish the
illuminescent 'look' along the edges of the figure,...not to
mention the transparent 'look' of the umbilical(?).
that's just incredible.
as for the specifics of your subject matter,...that's over
my head i'm afraid,...heh.
but it's a wonderful job visually dreams.

I've been drawing a lot with the tablet. It still is a challenge, you know? Ah! I look like a kid with a new toy! Must explore it's potencial... Next will be rough textures, I think.

incredible as always...
but more so as i understad the purpose completely (i think) and its so pertinent to today's society. this is what makes great art, visually compelling and original, interlaced with the most substanial and significant concepts. but the ideas portrayed are better still as they are not blatantly overt, you are caused to venture where the artist ventured in reaching her ideas, if only a small and petty way. i'll stop rambling now....

uhm esse organismo é o que se chama normalment de "Caravela Portuguesa" (portuguese man-o-war).. nos açores ha aos monts mm.... akeles tentaculos urticants podem ir ate aos 10 metros purissu ha k ter respeito pelo bixo 
anyway isto ta xelent e feito cuma volito ainda mais... pk pah parabens mm.. eu atrofiome todo kom esse brinkedo
a ideia do feto dentro dakele organismo... n sei mt xtranho lol mas ta original nao posso negar.. mas ele n deve tar mt seguro tendo em conta k ta rodeado de tentaculos urticants fatais..... ou talvez isso faça com ele esteja super protegido... uhm....... nice work...
